The 24th annual Hawke’s Bay Wine Auction, which took place on Saturday 14th November, saw some spirited bidding with over $141,000 raised to support the Cranford Hospice – Hawke’s Bay’s leading palliative care facility.
One of the stand-out lots was the 225 litre barrique from Bridge Pa Triangle Wine District . This rich blend of 48% Merlot, 37% Cabernet Franc and 15% Syrah, donated from fruit grown in the Bridge Pa Triangle vineyards fetched a handsome $9500.
